Trinidad Lake State Park This state park has a mild year-round climate and 800 surface acres of water are ideal for numerous water sports. Anglers catch rainbow and brown trout, largemouth bass, channel catfish, walleye, crappie and bluegill. Return to Top of Page Lakes & Reservoirs Lake Alice This is one of three mountain lakes within the Sugarite Canyon State Park. In the summertime it is stocked with rainbow trout. Lake Dorothey The Sugarite Canyon State Park offers fishing on three lakes, picnicking, hiking, horseback riding, bird watching, 18 miles of trails, and overnight camping at the Soda Pocket and Lake Alice campgrounds. Lake Mayola This is one of three mountain lakes within the Sugarite Canyon State Park. In the summertime it is stocked with rainbow trout. Trinidad Lake Species caught at this lake include rainbow and brown trout, largemouth bass, channel catfish, walleye, crappie, bluegill and wipers. Return to Top of Page
