Camping In National Forests The Pike and San Isabel National Forests and The Comanche National Grassland The Pike and San Isabel National Forests and The Comanche National Grassland offers nearly 3 million acres of public lands from the short grass prairies to the alpine tundra. This area offers a wide variety of recreation for all visitors. Return to Top of Page Camping In State Parks Eleven Mile State Park This State Park is known by the locals as a great fishing hole. Rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout, kokanee salmon, northern pike, small-mouth bass and carp are all found within the waters of this 3,400 surface-acre reservoir. Mueller State Park This park anchors at the west side of Pikes Peak and extends over 5,000 acres. The park offers visitors camping in spectacular forested areas with modern facilities such as flush restrooms and a camper services building. This State Park attracts hikers, bikers, horseback riders, and wildlife spotters. All sites have hook-ups for electricity and water. Howbert Point Campground This campground, located within the Eleven Mile State Park, offers 10 individual sites for trailers/RVs. There are no hook-ups at this campground. Lazy Boy Campground This campground, located within the Eleven Mile State Park, offers 14 individual sites for trailers/RVs. There are no hook-ups at this campground. North Shore Campground This campground, located within the Eleven Mile State Park, offers 81 individual sites for trailers/RVs. There are no hook-ups at this campground. Peak View Campground Located within the Mueller State Park, this campground contains five camping sites for trailers/RV's. All sites have hook-ups for electricity and water. Pisgah Point Campground Located within the Mueller State Park, this campground contains seven camping sites for trailers/RV's. All sites have hook-ups for electricity and water. Renenuer's Ridge Campground Located within the Mueller State Park, this campground contains 21 camping sites for trailers/RV's. All sites have hook-ups for electricity and water. Rocking Chair Campground This campground, located within the Eleven Mile State Park, offers 13 individual sites for trailers/RVs. There are no hook-ups at this campground. Rocky Ridge Campground This campground, located within the Eleven Mile State Park, offers 88 individual sites for trailers/RVs without hook-ups. There are another four sites for tents, and 52 sites for RV's with full hook-ups. Stoll Mountain Campground This campground, located within the Eleven Mile State Park, offers 25 individual sites for trailers/RVs. There are no hook-ups at this campground. Witcher Cove Campground This campground, located within the Eleven Mile State Park, offers 22 individual sites for trailers/RVs. There are no hook-ups at this campground.
