Camping In National Forests Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and The Pawnee National Grassland The Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland encompass roughly 1.5 million acres of public land in the Rocky Mountains, foothills and short grass prairie of north central Colorado. This area offers a wide variety of recreation for all types of visitors. Hiking, wildlife viewing, bird spotting, biking, horseback riding, and camping are just some of the activities one can do here. None of these sites have hook-ups. Glacier Basin Campground This campground, located within the Rocky Mountain National Park, provides 150 individual campsites for tents or trailers/RV's. Maximum vehicle length is 30 feet. Kelly Dahl Campground This campground has 46 sites available. Moraine Park Campground This campground, located within the Rocky Mountain National Park, provides 247 individual campsites for tents or trailers/RV's. Maximum vehicle length is 30 feet. North Campground This campground, located within the St. Vrain State Park, provides 17 individual campsites for your trailer/RV. None of these sites have hook-ups. Olive Ridge Campground This campground has 56 sites available. Pawnee Campground This campground has 55 sites available. Peaceful Valley Campground This campground has 17 sites available. Rainbow Lakes Campground This campground has 16 sites available. Timber Creek Campground This campground, located in the Rocky Mountain National Park, provides 100 individual campsites that are shaded by a stand of lodgepole pine trees. West Campground The campground, located within the St. Vrain State Park, provides 24 individual campsites for trailers/RVs. None of these sites have hook-ups.
