Narraguinnep Reservoir State Wildlife Area is a 600 acre irrigation reservoir and is managed as a warm-water fishery with walleye as the primary species. Other species include channel catfish, yellow perch, and stunted northern pike.


Facilities: A restroom is provided at Narraguinnep Reservoir State Wildlife Area.

Best Time To Visit: Narraguinnep Reservoir State Wildlife Area is open year round.

Fees: There are no fees to enter a State Wildlife Refuge. There are fees to obtain fishing and hunting licenses. Please contact the Denver office for further information.

Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Users of wildlife areas are reminded to check current hunting, fishing, and land use regulations when planning to use an area for any purpose.

Directions: To reach Narraguinnep Reservoir State Wildlife Area from Cortez, travel 11 miles northwest on U.S. Highway 666, then 2 miles east on Colorado Highway 184.
