Best Time To Visit: Mountain Lion Trail is open year round. Fees: A parking fee may be charged. Accessibility: This trail is not handicap accessible. Rules: Length of Stay - There is a 28 day maximum stay allowed per Colorado park during any 45 day period. One camping unit with up to 6 people is allowed per campsite. Since rules may vary depending on which park you choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any other rules that may apply.Directions: To reach Mountain Lion Trail from Durango, travel west on U.S. Highway 160 27 miles to the town of Mancos. Go north on Colorado Highway 184 1/2 mile and turn east onto County Road 42 (Forest Service Road 561). Go 5 miles and take Road North to the park entrance.
