Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to visit Wellington Reservoir #4 & Smith Lake State Wildlife Area. Best Time To Visit: Public use prohibited 1 hour after sunset to 1 hour before sunrise except for fishing at Wellington Reservoir #4 & Smith Lake State Wildlife Area. This area is open year round. Fees: There are no fees to enter a State Wildlife Area. There are fees to obtain fishing and hunting licenses. Please contact the Denver office for further information. Accessibility: This area has limited handicap accessibility. Rules: Boating prohibited if it creates a whitewater wake. Discharging firearms or bows, hunting, OHV's, camping, open fires and snowmobiles prohibited. Sailboards prohibited on Wellington Res. #4. Public use prohibited 1 hour after sunset to 1 hour before sunrise except for fishing. Users of wildlife areas are reminded to check current hunting, fishing, and land use regulations when planning any type of recreational use in this State Wildlife Area. Directions: To get to Wellington Reservoir #4 & Smith Lake State Wildlife Area from Fort Collins, take Interstate 25 at the Wellington exit 278, go 2 miles west on County Road 62E. Go 1 mile north to the Wellington Reservoir. Smith Lake is 1.5 miles north an the same road. |
