Although there is no fishing at Walden Reservoir State Wildlife Area, there is plenty of wildlife watching and hunting. Waterfowl, doves, rabbits, and sage grouse are the animals to hunt in this area. Trapping is also allowed. In the warmer months, birds such as Canada geese, shorebirds, and a large variety of ducks can be seen here.
