The road leading to Luders Creek Campground is itself of historical significance. It was one of the famous toll roads leading west from Saguache built by Otto Mears in 1876. Attractions include big game hunting, other dirt roads and the Cochetopa Pass on the Continental Divide. The most common trees are Engelmann Spruce and Quaking Aspen.
Single unit campsites with tables, fireplaces and vault type toilets but no drinking water. Pack up trash - refuse receptacles are not provided.

Facilities: Restrooms, picnic tables, and fire rings are provided at Luders Creek Campground.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted at Luders Creek Campground.

Best Time To Visit: Luders Creek Campground is open May through October.

Fees: An overnight camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: This campground is located within the Rio Grande National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To reach Luders Creek Campground from Salida, travel west on US Highway 50 to US Highway 285. Take US Highway 285 south to Saguache. From Saguache, drive 21 miles northwest on State Highway 114, then turn left onto County Road NN14 and proceed about 8 miles west to the campground.

To reach Luders Creek Campground from Gunnison, travel east on US Highway 50 to State Highway 114. Take State Highway 114 southeast to County Road NN14. Go south on County Road NN14 8 miles to the campground.
