Seeley Reservoir State Wildlife Area

American white pelicans, cormorants, Canada geese, and ducks are seen often at the lake in Seeley Reservoir State Wildlife Area. The reservoir is stocked with legal size rainbow trout. It is in Weld County just 3 miles north of the city limits. Developments from Greeley are starting to surround the reservoir.

Facilities: A restroom is located at the west parking lot at Seeley Reservoir State Wildlife Area.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to hike Seeley Reservoir State Wildlife Area.

Best Time To Visit: This area is open year-round.

Fees: There are no fees to enter a State Wildlife Area. There are fees to obtain fishing and hunting licenses. Please contact the Denver office for further information.

Accessibility: This area has limited handicap accessibility.

Rules: Fishing is prohibited except along the west shoreline or from boats. Fishing is prohibited 1/2 hour after sunset until 1/2 hour before sunrise. All smallmouth and largemouth bass possessed must be 15 inches in length or longer.

Public access is prohibited from 1 hour after sunset to 1 hour before sunrise except for fishing.
Camping, fires, and discharge of firearms or bows is prohibited.
Users of wildlife areas are reminded to check current hunting, fishing, and land use regulations when planning any type of recreational use in this State Wildlife Area.

Directions: To get to Seeley Reservoir State Wildlife Area from Greeley, go 3 miles north on 35th Avenue to the area.
