Ruedi Reservoir sits in the beautiful Fryingpan River Valley. Ruedi offers a scenic area for some outstanding water and land based recreation activities. Due to its' relatively high elevation location, the water remains quite cold and the lake freezes over in the winter. Game fish species available include rainbow trout, brown trout, and mackinaw trout.

Facilities: Facilities at Ruedi Reservoir consist of 4 campgrounds accommodating 81 campsites. Most of the camping areas provide restrooms, drinking water, picnic tables, and fire grills.

Reservations: Reservations for the campgrounds at Ruedi Reservoir are accepted.

Best Time To Visit: Ruedi Reservoir is open year-round.

Fees: There are no fees charged to visit Ruedi Reservoir.

Accessibility: Ruedi Reservoir is handicapped-accessible.

Rules: Obey fire restrictions. Pets must be restrained or on a leash.

Directions: To get to Ruedi Reservoir from Glenwood Springs: Drive south on State Highway 82 to Basalt. From Basalt, travel 16 miles east up Fryingpan Road, County Road 104. About one mile past the Ruedi Reservoir dam, turn right into Little Maud, Little Mattie, Mollie B. campgrounds and the boat ramp and picnic ground.
