The Mancos Campground, located within the Mancos State Park, offers 32 individual campsites for your tents or trailers/RV's. None of the sites have hook-ups. Nine of the sites do NOT have water nearby.
The Mancos State Park encompasses 338 acres surrounding Jackson Gulch Dam and Reservoir. Mancos Lake is the recreation focus of this secluded state park. Sailing, fishing and wakeless boating may be enjoyed on the lake. Picnicking, hiking, camping, volleyball, horseshoes and mountain biking are activities in which visitors to this area may participate.
The Mancos State Park lies immediately south of the San Juan National Forest between Durango and Dolores. It is ten miles north of Mesa Verde National Park, just off the San Juan Skyway and surrounded by the majestic San Juan mountain range. Mancos State Park is southwest Colorado's hot spot for excellent fishing and camping.
Pleasant climate, year-round trout fishing and a campground in a mature Ponderosa pine forest combine to create an outdoor haven.

Facilities: Mancos Campground provides tables, grills, vault toilets and water hydrants.
The other campground lies on the northern shore of the lake. It is considered a primitive site, because there is no drinking water available. Each site includes a grill, table and access to vault toilets. Two picnic areas exist along the northern shore of the lake.

Reservations: Reservations for Mancos Campground can be made by calling 1-877-444-6777.

Best Time To Visit: Mancos Campground is open year round.

Fees: An overnight camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: The campground is accessible for disabled persons. Please contact the Park Ranger for further information.

Rules: Length of Stay - There is a 28 day maximum stay allowed per Colorado park during any 45 day period. One camping unit with up to 6 people is allowed per campsite. A violation of this regulation may result in the visitor being required to purchase an additional campsite (if available), or the reservation may be terminated and the appropriate fees refunded. The allowable combinations are one passenger vehicle and two tents; or one motorized vehicle towing a camping trailer and one tent (if space allows). If space permits, one additional passenger vehicle and/or motorcycle may be parked at a campsite.
