Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to visit Cherokee State Wildlife Area-Middle Unit. Best Time To Visit: Cherokee State Wildlife Area-Middle Unit is closed to public access from March through Memorial Day. Fees: There are no fees to enter a State Wildlife Area. There are fees to obtain fishing and hunting licenses. Please contact the Denver office for further information. Accessibility: This area is handicap accessible. Rules: Motor vehicles permitted on established roads as posted. Horseback and bicycle riding restricted to designated roads and trails, except for horses used in hunting big game. Users of wildlife areas are reminded to check current hunting, fishing, and land use regulations when planning any type of recreational use in this State Wildlife Area. Directions: To get to Cherokee State Wildlife Area-Middle Unit from Fort Collins, take U.S. 287 west(left) on Cherokee Park Road to the parking area and access roads on the north (right) side of the County Road. |
