William's Peak Trail #25.1

Begin William's Peak Trail #25.1 by hiking up a sagebrush-covered hill. Lupine can be seen blooming in this area around July. In less than half a mile the trail crosses into a lodgepole pine forest. About two miles later the trail crosses Peach Gulch. At this point the trail is easily lost and hikers should follow the tree blazes.
After crossing Lost Creek the trail follows the other side through meadows where the trail is easy to confuse with cow paths (visitors are not on Forest Service land, but using a public right of way to access Forest Service land). As the trail passes through an old stand of lodgepole pine, it approaches the forest boundary. The trail becomes steeper following a number of switchbacks. This will eventually open up into a small sage and aspen park with views of the Williams Fork Valley.
