Fishing can be good year round at the reservoir in Seymour Lake State Wildlife Area. It is stocked annually with rainbow trout and is managed as a put-and-take fishery. Ice fishing is available in the early winter months before the ice gets to thick and kills the trout. Many birds can be seen at the reservoir in this area during spring and summer including American white pelicans, cormorants, egrets, herons, and ducks.
