Mount Neva Trail follows an old jeep road until it reaches the junction with the Caribou Pass Trail at 1.7 miles. As the Caribou Trail splits away, the Columbine Lake Trail continues along the creek to its source at Columbine Lake. This tree-lined lake is nestled in a steep basin on the northwest face of Mount Neva. On the south side of Columbine Lake there is a trailhead to Mount Neva. This trail is just another 1.5 miles past the lake to Mount Neva. It is rather difficult and steep; following along the ridgeline is the easiest part. It requires a bit of a scramble over boulders to reach the top at 12,703 feet.

Facilities: There are no facilities available at Mount Neva Trail.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to use Mount Neva Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Mount Neva Trail is open year round, but peak season is June through October.
