Indian Fire Nature Trail, the western trail within Crawford State Park, is a half-mile long and very primitive.
Crawford State Park is the place to enjoy peace and tranquility in the midst of one of Colorado's most scenic western slope areas. Enjoy fishing, hiking and water recreation in this delightful park. Its neighbors include the famous Black Canyon of the Gunnison and Blue Mesa Reservoir.

Facilities: Restrooms and picnic tables are provided within this State Park.

Reservations: Reservations are accepted to use Indian Fire Nature Trail in the summertime.

Best Time To Visit: Indian Fire Nature Trail is open year-round.

Fees: A parking fee may be charged.

Accessibility: This trail is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Since rules may vary depending on which park guests choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any other rules that may apply.

Directions: To reach Indian Fire Nature Trail from Montrose, travel north on US Highway 550 to Delta. From Delta, take Colorado Highway 92 east to Hotchkiss. Stay right on 92 where it intersects Colorado Highway 133 and drive 10 miles to Crawford. The park is one mile south of town.
