Dedisse Park is a 617-acre park 47 miles west of Denver. Soon after the park was acquired in 1920, a shelter house with picnic facilities near the lake was constructed. In 1926-27 the Echo Lake Lodge (open seasonally May-September 303-567-2138) was built from native rock and timber. Nestled in a glacially formed hanging valley at 10,600 feet elevation, views of the lake, lodge and Mount Evans are truly majestic.
