Centennial Valley State Wildlife Area, on the South Platte River, is 853 acres in Weld county. It is only 15 miles east of Greeley. The area has newly been named a State Wildlife area. It features access to waterfowl hunting. Public use is closely managed for quality hunting. The waterfowl hunting is by lottery only.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Centennial Valley State Wildlife Area.

Reservations: Hunting for waterfowl at Centennial Valley State Wildlife Area, is by reservation only.

Best Time To Visit: Public access is prohibited during all waterfowl seasons except on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and holidays. This area is open year-round.

Fees: There are no fees to enter a State Wildlife Area. There are fees to obtain fishing and hunting licenses. Please contact the Denver office for further information.

Accessibility: This area is handicap accessible.

Rules: Camping, dog training, hunting with rifles, fires, target practice, recreational horse use, and paintball shooting is prohibited. Dogs are prohibited, except as an aid to hunting.

Directions: To get to Centennial Valley State Wildlife Area from Fort Collins: Travel south on CO-83 to Greeley. From Greeley, take Highway 34 east 14 miles to Weld County Road 50, then turn left (east) and go 1.5 miles to County Road 380 and the parking lot.
