At an elevation of 6,000 feet, Rifle Gap State Park has something to offer every outdoor enthusiast. The clean, clear waters of this 350 acre reservoir afford some of the best scuba diving, boating, swimming, water-skiing and windsurfing in Colorado.
Camping, hiking and picnicking opportunities at this 1,305-acre park also await the Rifle Gap State Park visitor. Even golfers can pursue their sport here, teeing off on the 18-hole course that lies adjacent to the area. The fun doesn't stop in the wintertime, when ice fishing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling are available for the cold-weather buffs.
Rifle Gap is close to many ski areas, only 40 miles from Glenwood's famous hot springs, and home to a variety of wildlife, including deer and elk.

Facilities: Restrooms, picnic tables, and drinking water are provided at Rifle Gap State Park. Rifle Gap State Park has 46 campsites that can accommodate tents, small trailers and pickup campers. Some pull-through campsites for larger units are available.

Reservations: Reservations are accepted at Rifle Gap State Park.

Best Time To Visit: Rifle Gap State Park is open year round.

Fees: There are a variety of fees that can be occurred when entering this state area, from a daily walking pass all the way to an annual vehicle pass. Please contact this State Recreation Area to find the plan best for you.

Accessibility: This area has limited handicap accessibility.

Rules: Since rules may vary depending on which park you choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any rules that may apply.

Directions: To get to Rifle Gap State Park from Glenwood: Take I-70 to the Rifle exit, then go north on Colorado Highway 13 for three miles. Turn right onto Colorado 325 and drive 9.8 miles
