Prairie Wetlands Nature Trail

The Prairie Wetlands Nature Trail is a 0.5 mile trail that is rated "easy" and sees medium use. This is a self-guided trail and is located north of Cove Campground. The elevation is 4,400 feet. This trail is located within the Jackson Lake State Park.
Once known primarily for the hunting around its banks, Jackson Lake State Park has become one of Colorado's finest outdoor recreation and water sports sites. A wide variety of activities such as boating, waterskiing, fishing and swimming can all be enjoyed on the 2,700 surface-acre lake.
The park is also known for its warm-water, with sandy bottom and shore. Jackson Lake also has 260 campsites and 60 picnic sites for your enjoyment. During the winter the park offers camping, wildlife observation, photography, ice fishing, ice skating and hunting.
