Lake Perimeter Trail is an 8.8 mile trail that fully circles Lake Barr. It is open to hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Bikers should be equipped with thorn-resistant tires.

Facilities: Barr Lake has three picnic areas with tables and grills. Several sheltered tables are located in the south parking lot and boat ramp areas. Water is available at each picnic area. Restrooms are also provided.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to use Lake Perimeter Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Lake Perimeter Trail is open year-round.

Fees: Entrance fees are charged.

Accessibility: This trail is not handicap accessible.

Rules: There are a variety of rules to consider when visiting a Colorado State Park. Please call the Park Manager for more information.

Directions: To reach Lake Perimeter Trail from Denver, travel on Interstate 76 northeast, exit on Bromley Lane. Go east to Picadilly Road, then south to the park entrance.
