Straddling many miles of the West Fork and the Middle Fork of Rifle Creek, this wildlife area guards a good portion of the drainages from encroaching development. The creek bottoms also provide winter range for elk and deer. The habitat is riparian bottomlands and hillside with heavy vegetation.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided in this area.

Reservations: Reservations are NOT accepted.

Best Time To Visit: This area is open year-round.

Fees: There are no fees to enter this area, but hunting/fishing permits will require a fee.

Accessibility: Handicapped accessibility is limited.

Rules: Users of wildlife areas are reminded to check current hunting, fishing, and land use regulations when planning to use an area for any purpose.

Directions: Travel state Highway 13 northeast from Rifle for approximately 4 miles to State Highway 325; turn right and travel approximately 6 miles to Rifle Gap Reservoir. Then travel one mile northwest on County Road 252.
