Walton Creek Campground is located within the boundaries of the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. Walton Lake Campground provides 14 campsites, with a maximum spur length of 22 feet. The elevation is 9,400 feet.


Facilities: Restrooms and a seasonal water system are provided at Walton Creek Campground.

Best Time To Visit: It is recommended that guests visit Walton Creek Campground June through September.

Fees: An overnight camping fee will apply.

Accessibility: The Walton Lake Campground is NOT accessible to the physically challenged.

Rules: Pets must be restrained or on a leash at all times while in developed recreation areas.

This campground is located within the Rout National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To reach the Walton Lake Campground from Steamboat Springs, travel east on Highway 40 for 16 miles to the Walton Lake Campground.
