| Facilities: Restrooms and picnic tables are provided at Vega State Park. There are a total of 109 campsites available, 33 of which have water and electrical hook-ups. Reservations: Reservations at Vega State Park are accepted for the campground. Best Time To Visit: Vega State Park is open year-round. Fees: There are a variety of fees that can be incurred when entering this state area, from a daily walking pass all the way to an annual vehicle pass. Visitors should contact this State Recreation Area to find the plan best for them. Accessibility: Handicapped accessible camp sites are available at Early Settlers Campground and Pioneer Campground. A handicap fishing pier is located at Oak Point Campground. Coin operated showers are available at the Early Settlers Camper Services building. The visitor center is also accessible. Rules: Since rules may vary depending on which park guests choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any other rules that may apply. Directions: To get to Vega State Park from Grand Junction: Drive west on I-70 west from Grand Junction to Loma Exit, then north onto Colorado Highway 139 for six miles to Q Road. Go west on Q road for 1.2 miles, then turn north onto 11.8 Road for one mile to the park entrance. |
