Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to visit Trapper's Lake. Best Time To Visit: Trapper's Lake is open (generally) Memorial Day Weekend through mid-October. Fees: A day-use entry fee may apply. Accessibility: This lake is not handicap accessible. Rules: This lake is located within the White River National Forest; forest regulations apply. Pets must be restrained or on a leash at all times while in developed recreation areas.Directions: To reach Trapper's Lake from Steamboat Springs, travel US-40 west to CO-13. Take CO-13 south to Meeker. From Meeker, travel east on Highway 13 for 1 mile, then turn right onto County Road 8. Travel 39 miles on County Road 8 to Trapper's Lake Road. Travel 11 miles to the campground. To reach Trapper's Lake from Glenwood Springs, travel I-70 west to CO-13. Take CO-13 north to Meeker. From Meeker, travel east on Highway 13 for 1 mile, then turn right onto County Road 8. Travel 39 miles on County Road 8 to Trapper's Lake Road. Travel 11 miles to the campground. | |
