Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to use the Totten Reservoir State Wildlife Area. Best Time To Visit: The Totten Reservoir State Wildlife Area is open year-round. Fees: There are no fees to enter a State Wildlife Refuge. There are fees to obtain fishing and hunting licenses. Please contact the Denver office for further information. Accessibility: This area has limited handicap accessibility. Rules: Users of wildlife areas are reminded to check current hunting, fishing, and land use regulations when planning to use an area for any purpose. Public access is prohibited from one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise, except for fishing.Public access is prohibited along the north shore March 1 through May 31.Boating is prohibited if it creates a white-water lake.Directions: To reach the Totten Reservoir State Wildlife Area from Cortez, travel 3 1/2 miles east on US Highway 160, then 1 mile north on County Road 29. |
