Taylor River State Wildlife Area

It is not uncommon to find trout at Taylor River State Wildlife Area that weigh over ten pounds. They wait below the dam at Taylor Park Reservoir for mysis shrimp and other high-protein tidbits. This fishing area, commonly referred to as the Hog Trough, is a 0.5 mile stretch of the river. Anglers fight for unoccupied areas to cast a fly. The trout are fly-wise - only the best will fool them.
