Best Time To Visit: Sylvan Lake State Park is open year-round. Fees: There are a variety of fees that can be incurred when entering this state area, from a daily walking pass all the way to an annual vehicle pass. Visitors should contact this State Recreation Area to find the plan best for them. Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible. Rules: Since rules may vary depending on which park guests choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any other rules that may apply. Directions: To reach Sylvan Lake State Park from Glenwood Springs, travel east on Interstate 70, exit Interstate 70 at Eagle and head south. Take US Highway 6 west. Turn left on Broadway (second left). Turn left on 5th Street and right on Capitol. At the next stop sign, turn left. Travel south on Brush Creek Road (County Road 307) for 10 miles. Veer right at the fork in the road and travel an additional five miles on West Brush Creek Road to the park. To reach Sylvan Lake State Park from Aspen, travel northwest on Colorado Highway 82 to Interstate 70. Take Interstate 70 east, exit Interstate 70 at Eagle and head south. Take US Highway 6 west. Turn left on Broadway (second left). Turn left on 5th Street and right on Capitol. At the next stop sign, turn left. Travel south on Brush Creek Road (County Road 307) for 10 miles.
