Visitors come to Sweitzer Lake State Park, near Delta, for relaxed boating and water skiing as well as excellent waterfowl watching and hunting. Camping is not allowed at Sweitzer. Built solely for recreation, Sweitzer Lake fulfills its planned purpose well. Water-ski, swim, picnic, fish, boat, bird watch or just sit and enjoy the clear air.

Facilities: Restrooms, drinking water, and picnic area are all provided at Sweitzer Lake State Park.

Best Time To Visit: Sweitzer Lake State Park is open year-round.

Fees: There are a variety of fees that can be incurred when entering this state area, from a daily walking pass all the way to an annual vehicle pass. Visitors should contact this State Recreation Area to find the plan best for them.

Accessibility: There are accessible restrooms are at the Park Office. There is also a concrete fishing pier near the boat ramp.

Rules: Since rules may vary depending on which park guests choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any other rules that may apply.

Directions: To reach Sweitzer Lake State Park from Montrose, travel northwest US Highway 550 to the park.
