| Steamboat Lake provides for a variety of water-based activities. Boat ramps are located at Sage Flats, Placer Cove and Dutch Hill areas. Some coves and inlets have been marked by buoys and are wakeless areas. That still leaves a large portion for cruisers, water-skiers and personal watercraft enthusiasts to enjoy.Anglers can catch rainbow and cutthroat trout from Steamboat Lake year- round. An occasional brook or brown trout may also be seen.Nestled at the base of Hahn's Peak in northern Colorado, Steamboat Lake State Park offers scenery and plenty of recreational opportunities. One of the most popular areas in the state, Steamboat Lake is a park for all seasons.Premier fishing, camping and boating are available along with a full-service marina and swim beach. Mountain peaks, green valleys and alpine wildflowers make the park available year-round. Winter comes alive at Steamboat Lake with ice fishing, cross-country skiing and access to 60 miles of prime snowmobiling trails. |
