Stagecoach Reservoir hosts a variety of water sports, including boating, jet-skiing, water-skiing, swimming, sailboarding and canoeing. The reservoir is divided into wakeless and non-wakeless areas for visitors' convenience and safety.
The reservoir is known for its fast growing, hard fighting rainbows that average in length from 10 to 16 inches. The occasional brown or brook trout and Snake River cutthroat are also found in the reservoir.
Located in the verdant Yampa Valley south of Steamboat Springs, Stagecoach State Park offers visitors an area to enjoy Colorado's outdoors. The park is centered around the 780-acre Stagecoach Reservoir, and provides a full-service marina.
Learn the history of mining and logging near Stagecoach while visitors enjoy an unlimited array of activities, including boating and fishing. The Elk Run Trail and the Wetlands Trail provide great opportunities for nature observation and recreation.
The proximity to additional recreation opportunities and the family atmosphere here makes Stagecoach State Park a wonderful vacation destination.

Facilities: Restrooms, drinking water, picnic areas, and 92 campsites are spread among Stagecoach Reservoir.

Reservations: Reservations at Stagecoach Reservoir are accepted for the campgrounds.

Best Time To Visit: Stagecoach Reservoir is open year-round.

Fees: There are a variety of fees that can be incurred when entering this state area, from a daily walking pass all the way to an annual vehicle pass. Visitors should contact this State Recreation Area to find the plan best for them.

Accessibility: Most of the park's facilities are accessible including camping, showers and a fishable wetlands trail. Depending on mobility, assistance may be required. Please call or email the park for further information.

Rules: Since rules may vary depending on which park guests choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any other rules that may apply.

Directions: To get to Stagecoach Reservoir from Steamboat Springs, go four miles east on US 40, then south on Colorado 131 for five miles to Routt County Road 14. Drive seven miles south to the park entrance.
