The St. Vrain Pond System, located within the St. Vrain State Park, consist of four separate ponds. These ponds are generously stocked with bluegill, largemouth bass, wiper, channel catfish, crappie and rainbow trout. Bow fishing is allowed for carp. Ice fishing is a favorite pastime during the winter months.
In the shadow of spectacular Long's Peak, St. Vrain State Park is a quiet retreat located between Denver and Fort Collins off I-25. The four ponds in this popular park boast some of northern Colorado's best warm-water fishing.
The park is also home to many beautiful and entertaining waterfowl and wildlife. During the winter, St. Vrain serves as a home to bald eagles. St. Vrain, just 30 miles north of Denver, is convenient, quiet and charming.
