This 2,500 surface-acre reservoir serves as an isolated retreat for visitors seeking beautiful views of the Collegiate Mountain Range or just a little solitude from life in the city at Spinney Mountain State Park.
Camping is available at nearby Eleven Mile State Park.

Facilities: Restrooms, picnic tables, and fire rings are provided at Spinney Mountain State Park. Camping is available at nearby Eleven Mile State Park.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted at Spinney Mountain State Park.

Best Time To Visit: Spinney Mountain State Park is open seasonally from ice-off to ice-on (approximately May 1 through Nov. 15) and is a day-use area only.

Fees: There are a variety of fees that can be incurred when entering this state area, from a daily walking pass all the way to an annual vehicle pass. Visitors should contact this State Recreation Area to find the plan best for them.

Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible vault toilets and picnicking facilities are located within the park.

Rules: Since rules may vary depending on which park guests choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any other rules that may apply.

Directions: To get to Spinney Mountain State Park from Colorado Springs, take US 24 west for 55 miles over Wilkerson Pass. Turn south on Park County Road 23 and drive 2.8 miles to County Road 59. Turn right and continue another 1.1 miles to the park entrance.
