Spectacle Lake Campground

Located within the boundaries of the Rio Grande National Forest, Spectacle Lake Campground provides 24 sites with tables and fireplaces (firewood is limited). There are two vault type toilets, refuse containers and pickup. There is also a developed water system with 2 hand pumps.
There is fishing access to the Conejos River and Spectacle Lake. Both the Spectacle Lake and the Cojones River are accessible from here. The lake is year-round, with winter ice-fishing. Two campsites have parking for two car groups. Both day and overnight use is permitted.

Facilities: Restrooms, drinking water, picnic tables, and fire grills are provided at Spectacle Lake Campground.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted at Spectacle Lake Campground.

Fees: Overnight camping fees will apply.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: This campground is located within the Rio Grande National Forest; Forest regulations apply. No boating is allowed on Spectacle Lake. Maximum vehicle length is 25 feet.

Directions: To get to Spectacle Lake Campground from Alamosa: Drive south on US-285 to Antonito. From Antonito, travel west for 23.0 miles on Colorado Highway 17 to Forest Road #250. Go 7.0 miles northwest on Forest Road #250 to campground entrance.
