| The Sheep Lake Trail #389 begins in a lodgepole pine and engleman Spruce forest. The change in elevation is 1,300 feet and the trail is primarily above tree line. Users will pass Big Brooklyn Lake, Snowbank Lake, Twin Lakes, Sheep Lake, Mutt Lake, and Jeff Lake.This 7.8 mile trail sees moderate usage. It has a beginning elevation of 10,020 feet and an ending elevation of 10,720 feet and transverses through the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. |
