| Facilities: There are no facilities available along Rolling Creek Trailhead. Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted at Rolling Creek Trailhead to North Fork Trailhead. Best Time To Visit: Rolling Creek Trailhead's peak seasons are summer-early fall. Fees: A parking fee may be charged. Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible. Rules: Mountain bikes are prohibited and Wilderness regulations apply. Directions: To get to Rolling Creek Trailhead to North Fork Trailhead from Colorado Springs: drive north on I-25 to Denver Drive west from Denver on US 285 for 30 miles to the town of Bailey. At the bottom of the long hill into Bailey, turn left on Park County 68 (Forest Service Road 560). Drive east 8 miles to a small parking area on the south (right) side of the road. A sign at the parking area identifies this point as the crossing of the Colorado Trail and access to the Rolling Creek Trail. From the parking area follow the Colorado Trail South on an old road for .25 mile to a second small parking area at the actual trailhead for the Colorado and Rolling Creek Trails. Horse trailers and large vehicles should park at the larger lower lot. North Fork Trailhead : travel north on I-25 from Colorado springs to Denver. Drive west from Denver approximately 52 miles on US 285 to approximately 2.5 miles west of Kenosha Pass (and 1 mile before Jefferson), turn left (east) on Park County 56 (Lost Park Road) and drive about 16 miles east to Forest Road 134. Turn left on 134 and drive 3 miles on a fairly rough road to its end at the trailhead. Low clearance vehicles and vehicles pulling trailers would be advised to use the Lost Park Trailhead.Long Gulch Trailhead : travel north on I-25 from Colorado springs to Denver. Drive west from Denver approximately 52 miles on US 285 to approximately 2.5 miles west of Kenosha Pass (and 1 mile before Jefferson), turn left (east) on Park County 56 (Lost Park Road) and drive about 10.9 miles to Forest Road 817. Turn left and go 0.2 miles to the trailhead. |
