Most of Rock Creek Trailhead to Long Gulch Trailhead is located within the Lost Creek Wilderness area, so no mountain bikes are permitted. An alternative route for mountain bikers is the Lost Park Road. However, be aware of traffic on this road. Ensure you are aware of the wilderness regulations.
This section of the Colorado Trail sees relatively little use. There is a connection between the Colorado Trail and the Ben Tyler Trail that follows Rock Creek.

Facilities: There are no facilities available at Rock Creek Trailhead to Long Gulch Trailhead.

Reservations: Reservation are not needed or accepted to use Rock Creek Trailhead to Long Gulch Trailhead.

Best Time To Visit: Rock Creek Trailhead to Long Gulch Trailhead's peak seasons are Summer-fall.

Fees: A parking fee may be charged.

Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible.

Directions: To get to Rock Creek Trailhead to Long Gulch Trailhead from Denver & Colorado Springs: from I-25 exit at FDR 133, approximately one mile north of the Lost Park Road (#56). FDR 133 is not suggested for low clearance vehicles.

Eastern access is from FDR 817, just off the Lost Park Road (#56).
