Rules: Pets and Animals Pets must be restrained or on a leash at all times while in developed recreation areas. Pets (except guide dogs) are not allowed in swimming areas or sanitary facilities. Saddle or pack animals are only allowed where authorized by posted instructions. This campground is located within the White River National Forest; forest regulations apply.Directions: To get to Prospector Campground from Breckenridge: drive north on Highway 9 to Silverthorne. From Silverthorne, travel 4 miles east on Highway 6. Turn right on Swan Mountain road and go 2 miles to Swan Mountain Recreation Area. A dirt road leads to the campground.
