There are 11 single unit camping sites with tables, fireplaces, vault toilets and developed drinking water provided through hand pumps at Poso Campground. Firewood is limited and no refuse receptacles are provided. Maximum RV size is 25'.

Facilities: Restrooms, picnic tables, drinking water, and fire rings are provided at Poso Campground.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted at Poso Campground.

Best Time To Visit: Poso Campground is generally open from May through September.

Fees: An overnight camping fee will apply.

Rules: This campground is located within the Rio Grande National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To get to Poso Campground from Alamosa: drive north on Colorado-17, turn left onto Colorado-285, travel to Saguache. From Saguache, Colorado, take US Route 285 south 15.6 miles to La Garita and County Route G signs. Turn right at signs onto Route G and go 6.3 miles to "Y" intersection (County Route 41G). Bear right onto Route 41G and go 10.2 miles to another "Y" intersection (Forest Route 675). Bear left onto Route 675 (single lane with turnouts) and go 1.7 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign into campground.

NOTE: After 3.5 miles, County Route 41G becomes dirt and narrows to single-lane with turnouts after entering the National Forest.
