Best Time To Visit: Pioneer Campground is open year round. Fees: There are a variety of fees that can be occurred when entering this state area, from a daily walking pass all the way to an annual vehicle pass. Please contact this State Recreation Area to find the plan best for you. Accessibility: Tent sites 134 and 135 are both accessible. A handicap fishing pier is located at Oak Point. The coin operated showers at the Early Settlers Campground are accessible. The Visitor Center within this State Park is also accessible. Rules: Since rules may vary depending on which park you choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any rules that may apply. Directions: To get to Pioneer Campground from Grand Junction: Drive west on I-70 west from Grand Junction to Loma Exit, then north onto Colorado Highway 139 for six miles to Q Road. Go west on Q road for 1.2 miles, then turn north onto 11.8 Road for one mile to the park entrance. |
