Pinnacle Peak Trail, located within the Stagecoach State Park, measures 0.25 miles and is rated as "moderate-difficult". The elevation is 7,200 feet, and this trail sees medium usage.
Located in the verdant Yampa Valley south of Steamboat Springs, Stagecoach State Park offers visitors an area to enjoy Colorado's outdoors. The park is centered around a 780-acre reservoir with a full-service marina.
Learn the history of mining and logging near Stagecoach while visitors enjoy an unlimited array of activities, including boating and fishing. The Elk Run Trail and the Wetlands Trail provide great opportunities for nature observation and recreation.
The proximity to additional recreation opportunities and the family atmosphere here makes Stagecoach State Park a wonderful vacation destination.

Facilities: Restrooms, drinking water, picnic areas, and 92 campsites are spread among Pinnacle Peak Trail.

Reservations: Reservations are accepted for the campgrounds nearby Pinnacle Peak Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Pinnacle Peak Trail is open year round.

Fees: There are a variety of fees that can be occurred when entering this state area, from a daily walking pass all the way to an annual vehicle pass. Please contact this State Recreation Area to find the plan best for you.

Accessibility: This trail is not accessible. Most of the park's facilities are accessible including camping, showers and a fishable wetlands trail.

Rules: Minors - A parent or guardian must accompany youths under 18 years of age. The person whose name appears on the reservation is responsible for the condition of the site. The Park Manager may approve the stay of a youth.

Since rules may vary depending on which park you choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any other rules that may apply.

Directions: To get to Pinnacle Peak Trail from Steamboat Springs, go four miles east on U.S. 40, then south on Colorado 131 for five miles to Routt County Road 14. Drive seven miles south and you will be at the park entrance.
