Rules: Pets and Animals Pets must be restrained or on a leash at all times while in developed recreation areas. Pets (except guide dogs) are not allowed in swimming areas or sanitary facilities. Saddle or pack animals are only allowed where authorized by posted instructions. Directions: To get to Peak One Campground from: Vail Take I-70 east, Peak One Campground is 4 miles west of Silverthorne on I-70 at the Frisco Exit 203. Travel south on Highway 9 to the Peninsula Recreation Area.
