| Old Town Museum has recently installed 36 digitized voice modules that will give visitors an audio history with the push of a button throughout the complex. The museum complex includes: a law office where there is a wooden desk in splendid condition, a bank/real estate office, a barbershop, the cream station with original equipment used for determining the percentage of butter fat in cream, the general store, blacksmith shop, and much more.In its heyday, Burlington had six saloons and its share of female entertainment to go with it. In the Longhorn Saloon, there are still cancan girls who will kick up their heels for you during the summer months. You are welcome to belly up to the bar for some liquid refreshment, fresh popcorn, and peanuts. Weekend shows feature the saloon's Madame and some unruly characters who insist on settling their differences with shooting irons. |
