Fees: There are no fees to enter a State Wildlife Refuge. There are fees to obtain fishing and hunting licenses. Please contact the Denver office for further information. Accessibility: This area has a limited handicap accessibility. Rules: Users of wildlife areas are reminded to check current hunting, fishing, and land use regulations when planning to use an area for any purpose. Directions: To get to Odd Fellows State Wildlife Area from Steamboat Springs take US-40 to Colorado-14, travel to Walden. From Walden, go 5 miles west on County Road 18, then 41/2 miles west to County Road 5, then 1/2 mile south to County Road 22, and then 2 1/2 miles southwest to the signed access road on the right. The access road goes to the right of the ranch house and through the barnyard to a narrow bridge over an irrigation ditch. Over the bridge, the two track road takes off to the north, heading up and around the east slope of Pitchpine Mountain. After passing three barbed-wired gates, cattle guards and another narrow bridge over yet another irrigation ditch, the road ends at a fenced parking area beside the creek. Please respect private property by staying on the established road and closing all the gates.
