North Rock Creek Trail is lightly used during most of the season. During hunting season the usage is greatly increased. Suitable camping areas can be found along the trail. When the top is reached, some beautiful views of the surrounding area may be enjoyed. North Rock Creek Trail leaves Rock Creek Road just past the entrance of Rock Creek Campground. A closed road passes through Camp Val Verde. The road turns into a jeep road for about 1/4 mile, then the actual trail begins.
