North Crestone Campground is in the narrow valley of North Crestone Creek at the base of Sangre de Cristo Range. There is fishing in North Crestone Creek and hiking on North Crestone Creek Trail (Forest Trail 744). There are 13 campsites with tables and fireplaces, vault type toilets and developed drinking water with hand pumps. Maximum RV size is 25'.

Facilities: Restrooms, picnic tables, drinking water, and fire rings are provided at North Crestone Campground.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted at North Crestone Campground.

Best Time To Visit: North Crestone Campground is generally open from May through September.

Fees: An overnight camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: This campground is located within the Rio Grande National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To reach North Crestone Campground from Salida, travel south on U.S. Highway 285 to Colorado Highway 17. Take Colorado State Highway 17 south to T Road. Go east on T Road to Crestone. From Crestone, drive 2 miles north on Forest Service Road 949.

To reach North Crestone Campground from Alamosa, travel north on Colorado Highway 17 to T Road. Go east on T Road to Crestone. From Crestone, drive 2 miles north on Forest Service Road 949.
