McKindley Sites Campground, located within the Stagecoach State Park, offers 10 individual campsites for trailers/RV's. These sites do NOT have any hook-ups.
Located in the verdant Yampa Valley south of Steamboat Springs, Stagecoach State Park offers visitors an area to enjoy Colorado's outdoors. The park is centered around a 780-acre reservoir with a full-service marina.
Learn the history of mining and logging near Stagecoach while you enjoy an unlimited array of activities, including boating and fishing. The Elk Run Trail and the Wetlands Trail provide great opportunities for nature observation and recreation.
The proximity to additional recreation opportunities and the family atmosphere here makes Stagecoach State Park a wonderful vacation destination.

Facilities: Restrooms, drinking water, and picnic areas are provided at McKindley Sites Campground.

Best Time To Visit: McKindley Sites Campground is open year round.

Fees: An overnight camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is accessible for disabled persons. Please contact Park Ranger for further information

Rules: Length of Stay - There is a 28 day maximum stay allowed per Colorado park during any 45 day period. One camping unit with up to 6 people is allowed per campsite. A violation of this regulation may result in the visitor being required to purchase an additional campsite (if available), or the reservation may be terminated and the appropriate fees refunded. The allowable combinations are one passenger vehicle and two tents; or one motorized vehicle towing a camping trailer and one tent (if space allows). If space permits, one additional passenger vehicle and/or motorcycle may be parked at a campsite.

Directions: To reach McKindley Sites Campground from Steamboat Springs, travel four miles east on U.S. Highway 40, then south on Colorado Highway 131 for five miles to Routt County Road 14. Drive seven miles south and you will be at the park entrance.
