Lower Campground, located within the Lake Pearl State Park, provides 15 individual sites for tents or trailers/RV's. These sites do not have any hook-ups.
Pearl Lake State Park, nestled in the mountains north of Steamboat Springs, offers peace and quiet in a lush forest setting. Surrounded by towering pines, visitors camp along the lake and up a gentle hill, which is deep in the cozy woods.
Excellent fly and lure fishing is available at the park where native cutthroat trout flash their red throats when pulled from the water. This incredibly peaceful area is lush and green, a true escape from the day-to-day routine.


Facilities: Restrooms, picnic areas, and drinking water are provided at Lower Campground.

Best Time To Visit: Lower Campground is open year-round.

Fees: An overnight camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is accessible for disabled persons. Please contact the Park Ranger for further information.

Rules: Since rules may vary depending on which park guests choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any other rules that may apply.

Directions: To reach Lower Campground from Steamboat Springs, travel west two miles on US Highway 40 to County Road 129, and then turn right. Go north 23 miles to Pearl Lake Road, turn east and drive the final two miles to the park.

Reservations: Reservations for Lower Campground may be made for May 23 through September 30, from six months, to three days in advance of arrival.
