Long Gulch Trailhead to North Fork Trailhead is a section of the Colorado Trail that climbs to the head of the north fork of Lost Creek and then follows it for this section's entire length.
The trail also parallels the Lost Creek Wilderness for much of its length, which is closed to mountain bikes. Bikers can make a loop by using Forest Development Road 134 and Forest Development Road 56. Just be careful of traffic.
Two miles northwest of the North Fork Trailhead, the Colorado Trail intersects the Brookside-McCurdy Trail. A loop can be done by following it to the Craig Park Trail (#608), then the Ben Tyler Trail (#606), and back onto the Colorado Trail at Rock Creek.
This trail has been rated easy to moderate. This 7.3-mile trail is located at 10,200 feet in elevation.
