Lake Meredith is a water storage area for the city of Colorado Springs. The Lake is surrounded by private property, and shoreline access is very limited. The Colorado Division of Wildlife does maintain a small wildlife area and boat ramp on the north shore just west of Sugar City.
The large surface area makes for excellent boating, waterskiing, sail boating, and wildlife observation. This is warmwater fishing, primarily channel catfish.

Best Time To Visit: Lake Meredith is closed from November to early April due to waterfowl season.
